Facilities include specialist tools and equipment and the weekly workshop sessions are suitable for those interested in the practical side of horology whether they be expert enthusiasts or complete beginners.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to allowing members to use our equipment we also recommend that they provide themselves with a basic toolkit for clock and\/or watchmaking. This can be obtained over a period of time and we can suggest a suitable list of tools to consider.<\/p>\n

EFHC has over 2000 square feet of custom fitted space that includes two fully equipped workshops. The machine shop has 7 clockmaking lathes, 4 milling machines, 4 pillar drills, a variety of wheel cutting engines, a pantograph engraving machine, clock cleaning equipment and a wide range of hand and specialist tools. It also has Audio Visual teaching facilities, and a kitchen\/lounge area which houses the comprehensive lending and reference Library.<\/p>\n

Our clockmaking workshop has 14 benches, and the watchmaking workshop is equipped with 14 watchmakers\u2019 benches, watch cleaning and timing equipment and a range of specialist watchmaking tools.<\/p>\n

The Centre houses the members Library an extensive and growing collection of horological texts and learned books as well as many years of horological journals for reference.<\/p>\n

Safety and the avoidance of accidents<\/strong> are of paramount importance in all our activities. It is EFHC\u00a0 policy to provide and maintain safe and healthy conditions. Every member or visitor is required to behave in a manner which will actively promote the safety of both themselves and others. Notices around the building must be respected. Members are responsible for their own working area and must ensure that it is clean and tidy at the end of each attendance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Adequate parking is located adjacent to the Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n
