After leaving school, Robin Eastwood worked repairing aircraft instruments and introduced to Horology by a workmate who had a side line repairing clocks. Clockmaking became a passion that Robin had to fit round a very varied career, but he took a 1 year full time Horology course at Wadden in 1974 and another at Hackney College in 1984. He also has a qualification in Adult Education.

Robin has worked for companies such as In Time, Comitti, Aubrey Brocklehurst and Accurist as well as running his own repair business. He was a part time Tutor for a while at the Epping College Horology course, but retired in 2002.

Robin is well known to a number of EFHC members and after much persuasion has been teased out of retirement to run this course.

His favourite timepieces are French Clocks from the 1800s onwards.
